High Resolution lunar images – October 3rd, 2015
And the final lunar results for the beginning of October (actually the first acquired, but processed last).
This session the seeing conditions were rather variable, with values from 5/10 to 8/10, but mostly of the lower.
Same equipment as for the previous posts.
First image shows the Aristoteles/Eudoxus couple, under good illumination; notice the details on the floor of Aristoteles.
The second image shows a large area with the extremes focused on Posidonius (upper region) and Lacus Mortis (lower region) and a lot of rimae in between. This might not be my best high-resolution image, but the region itself has such a varied terrain that it must be one of the most interesting regions on the Moon:

Last image presents a terminator view of the well-known trio Theophilus, Cyrillus and Catharina, unfortunately under not too good seeing conditions (5-6/10):
